{"id":3234,"date":"2019-02-12T14:36:23","date_gmt":"2019-02-12T14:36:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lynxee.consulting\/?p=3234"},"modified":"2019-02-12T14:36:26","modified_gmt":"2019-02-12T14:36:26","slug":"france-glyphosate-phase-out-plan-issued","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lynxee.consulting\/en\/france-glyphosate-phase-out-plan-issued\/","title":{"rendered":"FRANCE: Glyphosate phase-out plan issued"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>measures <\/strong>of the <a href=\"https:\/\/agriculture.gouv.fr\/plan-de-sortie-du-glyphosate-le-dispositif\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">glyphosate phase-out plan<\/a> launched by the government to put an end to the main uses of glyphosate by 2020 and to all its uses by 2022 were disclosed on 17 January 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>animation and the follow-up<\/strong> of this action plan are entrusted to a &#8220;<strong>Task Force<\/strong>&#8221; gathering the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition, INRA (French National Institute for Research in Agriculture), ACTA (network of French Agricultural Institutes) and APCA (Chambers of Agriculture Assembly) and chaired by Prefect Pierre-\u00c9tienne Bisch, appointed <strong>inter-ministerial coordinator<\/strong> of the glyphosate phase-out plan on 1st \u00a0December 2018. The coordinator, who will be responsible for reporting on actions taken and progress made every three months to ministers and parliamentarians, was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lcp.fr\/actualites\/le-coordinateur-interministeriel-du-plan-de-sortie-du-glyphosate-auditionne-lassemblee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">auditioned by the National Assembly<\/a> on 17 January 2019.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the measures of this action plan, a <a href=\"http:\/\/ressources-glyphosate.ecophytopic.fr\/home-glyphosate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">resource center<\/a> was put online on 1st February 2019 to make available to the whole agricultural profession existing <strong>solutions to get out of glyphosate<\/strong>. The contributions, intended to get extended, come from farmers and field experiences, and can be consulted through summary articles, technical sheets and farmer experiences organised by sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The press release also reminds the existence of the <strong>website<\/strong> &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.glyphosate.gouv.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (s\u2019ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">glyphosate.gouv.fr<\/a>&#8221; presented by the government on 22 November 2018, intended to monitor the number of farmers having stopped any use of glyphosate or engaged in this way.
