400\">On 12 August 2022, ANSES released a note<\/span><b> specifying the national provisions for the submission of residue studies in honey<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in application of the guidance document <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/food.ec.europa.eu\/system\/files\/2018-10\/pesticides_mrl_guidelines_honey.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SANTE\/11956\/2016 rev. 9<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (dated 14 September 2018 and applicable since 1st January 2020) on the determination of pesticide residues and the setting of maximum residue limits (MRLs) in honey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For uses corresponding to the situations described in the guidance document as potentially leading to residues in honey, and whose <\/span><b>dossiers do not include the studies necessary to determine residue levels<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the national note includes the following clarifications:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\"><b>For dossiers submitted up to the date of application of the note<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, studies to determine residue levels in honey will be required by Anses within a deadline set in the marketing authorisation of the plant protection product concerned.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\"><b>For dossiers submitted from the date of application of the note<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>restrictions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> may be included in an authorisation decision, such as a ban on applying the plant protection product before or during flowering, <\/span><b>without a prior post-authorisation request<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It should be noted that<\/span><b> the note will come into force<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> at the latest three months after its release on the Anses website, i.e. on <\/span><b>12 November 2022<\/b><span
