{"id":7065,"date":"2024-01-20T12:46:42","date_gmt":"2024-01-20T12:46:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lynxee.consulting\/?p=7065"},"modified":"2024-02-05T08:25:45","modified_gmt":"2024-02-05T08:25:45","slug":"europe-com-provisional-agreement-on-improving-classification-labelling-and-packaging-of-hazardous-chemicals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lynxee.consulting\/en\/europe-com-provisional-agreement-on-improving-classification-labelling-and-packaging-of-hazardous-chemicals\/","title":{"rendered":"EUROPE &#8211; COM : Provisional agreement on improving classification, labelling and packaging of hazardous chemicals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Following the Commission\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/environment.ec.europa.eu\/publications\/proposal-clp-revision_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">proposal for a\u00a0revision of the Regulation 1272\/2008<\/a> (for more details, see our <a href=\"https:\/\/lynxee.consulting\/en\/europe-com-proposal-for-the-revision-of-the-clp-regulation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previous article<\/a>), the European Parliament and the Council have reached a <b>provisional agreement on the revision of the regulation on classification, labelling and packaging of hazardous chemicals (CLP)<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The new measures aim to :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">protect consumers, workers, and the environment,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">accelerate the identification of hazardous substances and mixtures at EU level,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">improve communication about hazardous chemicals including for chemicals sold online,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">lays down rules on refill sales,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">provide more flexibility on how to use the labels,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">improve the functioning of the EU market.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><b>The new CLP Regulation must now be formally adopted by the European Parliament and the Counci<\/b>l.
