It is primarily used for the safety assessments of EU maximum residue levels (MRLs).<\/p>\n<p>Revision 4 is a comprehensive update including important changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Fully <b>online tool<\/b> used solely through a web interface<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Integration of food consumption data from the <b>EFSA comprehensive food consumption database<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\"><b>Additional countries and population classes<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Dietary exposure calculations to pesticide residues both in <b>raw primary commodities<\/b> (RPC), <i>e.g.<\/i> tomato, and in <b>associated raw primary commodity derivatives<\/b> (RPCD), <i>e.g.<\/i> tomato sauce, applying processing factors for the RPCDs<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Information on the distribution of the chronic exposure within relevant population subgroups (<i>i.e.<\/i> mean exposure of a population subgroup versus higher percentiles)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Acute exposure calculations to account for individual consumption and body weight<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The tool is described in a technical report (Use and underlying principles of the EFSA Pesticide Residue Intake Model (PRIMo), revision 4), and is accessible on the EFSA R4EU platform.<\/p>\n<p>This PRIMo revision 4 is provided to users to try out and become familiar with the new features and the data handling.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">It is important to note that <b>PRIMo revision 4 has not been endorsed yet<\/b> for use in the context of MRL applications\/assessments and the evaluation of pesticides.
