Europe: Update of Part B6 (Toxicology) of the dRR template

The template of Part B6 (Mammalian Toxicology) of the draft Registration Report (dRR) has been updated according to the latest EFSA guidance on exposure assessment of operators, workers, bystanders and residents (EFSA Journal 2014;12(10):3874). The previous dRR template was issued in March 2015.

This new template (revision 1 – 2016) should be used for applications for authorisation, amendment of authorisation and renewal of authorisation of plant protection products containing chemical active substances as from 1 January 2017.

FRANCE: New update of the list of spray drift reduction equipment

The French list of spray drift reduction equipments which allow the reduction of the width of unsprayed buffer zones from water bodies was updated by DGAL/SDQSPV/2016-902 note, published on 1st December 2016. This note repeals the previous Note DGAL/SDQPV/2016-686 of 30 August 2016 (see our previous article).

This note aims at updating the list of spraying equipments characterised by a minimum efficacy of 66% for drift reduction. New equipments (complete boom sprayer) were added for vineyards, orchards and low crops.

FRANCE: Conference on Herbicides – Regulatory Session

Lynxee consulting was attending the 23rd COLUMA Conference on Herbicides organised by AFPP (French Association on Plant Protection) from 06 to 08 December 2016 in Dijon (France).

Ecophyto II, Labbé’s law, laws for the future of agriculture, for the energetic transition and for biodiversity regrowth, placing on the market of PPPs, separation of professional and amateur ranges of products, biocontrol… the regulatory framework is changing fast.

Lynxee consulting presented in Introduction of the Regulatory Session the main French regulatory orientations and the impacts on the placing on the market and the use of products.

Lynxee consulting has also synthesised in a poster the key elements to better understand the current regulations and how it is concretely translated in France for herbicides for professionals but also for amateurs in terms of restriction of use, mode of application, packaging, labelling…
