18 March 2016EFSA Public consultation: Draft Guidance Document on the establishment of the residue definition for dietary risk assessment
27 March 2016ECHA has published an easy-to-search list containing the harmonised classification and labelling of hazardous substances (Table 3.1 of Annex VI to the Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008, called CLP regulation). All the information on the harmonised classification and labelling up until the Seventh Adaptation to Technical Progress (i.e. Commission Regulation (EU) No.2015/1221) is now readily available in a single Excel file.
The harmonised classification and labelling of hazardous substances is updated through an “Adaptation to Technical Progress (ATP)” which is issued by the European Commission. Following the adoption of the opinion on the harmonised classification and labelling of a substance by the Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC), the European Commission takes a decision and publishes the updated list in an ATP.
This will be a useful tool, keeping in mind that the official source for this information remains the Official Journal of the European Union.
