Following the public consultation that took place in 2022, the final version of the joint EFSA/ECHA guidance document on the impact of water treatment processes on residues of active substances or their metabolites in the framework of drinking water production was released in late August 2023.
The endorsement of the document and its implementation timeline will now have to be discussed at the Standing Committee for Plants, Animals, Food and Feed (SCoPAFF).
