EUROPE – EFSA : Data collection on co-formulants used in representative plant protection product formulations
23 August 2022EUROPE: New rules for micro-organisms
7 September 2022On 12 August 2022, ANSES released a note specifying the national provisions for the submission of residue studies in honey in application of the guidance document SANTE/11956/2016 rev. 9 (dated 14 September 2018 and applicable since 1st January 2020) on the determination of pesticide residues and the setting of maximum residue limits (MRLs) in honey.
For uses corresponding to the situations described in the guidance document as potentially leading to residues in honey, and whose dossiers do not include the studies necessary to determine residue levels, the national note includes the following clarifications:
- For dossiers submitted up to the date of application of the note, studies to determine residue levels in honey will be required by Anses within a deadline set in the marketing authorisation of the plant protection product concerned.
- For dossiers submitted from the date of application of the note, restrictions may be included in an authorisation decision, such as a ban on applying the plant protection product before or during flowering, without a prior post-authorisation request.
It should be noted that the note will come into force at the latest three months after its release on the Anses website, i.e. on 12 November 2022.
