EUROPE – COM: Update of the guidance document on analytical methods

On 14 February 2023, the European Commission has published an update of the guidance document (SANTE/2020/12830, Rev.2) on pesticide analytical methods for risk assessment and post-approval control and monitoring purposes.

This second revision consists in updating the section 2.3 “Hazardous reagents”. A precision has been added on the chlorinated solvents (e.g. chloroform and dichloromethane) which shall not be used, except for the purpose of bridging (comparison of the solvent extraction of previous methods with new methods).
