FRANCE: First update of the official list of biocontrol products

The French Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry has published the first update of the official list of biocontrol plant protection products in accordance with articles L.253-5 and L.253-7 of the Rural Code.

Some criteria of inclusion into the list were reviewed.

The note sets that the plant protection products containing an active substance candidate for substitution (Regulation (EU) 2015/408) cannot be included in the official list of biocontrol product.

As regards human health, the hazard statements H317 (skin sensitiser) and H334 (respiratory sensitiser) are not considered as criteria of exclusion anymore.

Lastly, insecticide products with a large spectrum of action are not excluded anymore either.
