FRANCE: Public consultation on the conditions for authorising agricultural treatments by drones
30 April 2026Commission Regulation (EU) 2026/1120 of 26 May 2026 has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union. This text formalises the ban on 12 new unacceptable co-formulants in the composition of plant protection products (PPPs) and adjuvants. It amends Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 in accordance with the criteria set out in Regulation (EU) 2023/574.
As seen in the latest draft regulation published last February, the final list does not include 2-pyrrolidone and acetophenone, and focuses on 12 substances, notably including acetaldehyde, cumene, or certain siloxanes such as D4, D5, and D6).
Regulation (EU) 2026/1120 will apply from 16 June 2026. Member States must amend or withdraw the authorisations of PPPs and adjuvants containing these unacceptable co-formulants by 16 June 2028 at the latest. If a grace period is granted, it will not exceed 3 months after the date of withdrawal or amendment of the authorisation for the sale and distribution, and 12 months after that same date for the disposal or use of the stocks of products.
