FRANCE: New decree setting the conditions for inclusion on the lists of biocontrol products

The French Tax on Diffuse Pollution was set by the law for water and aquatic environments No. 2006-1772. This tax aims at decreasing the contamination of aquatic environments by hazardous substances contained by plant protection products. The list of substances concerned by the Tax on Diffuse Pollution is set by the Order of 22th Novembre 2010 and is updated every year in order to consider the evolution of substance classification.
The updated list of substances concerned by the French Tax on Diffuse Pollution has been published in the Official Journal of 26 December 2021. Some modifications have been performed in comparison to the list published on 13 December 2021.
Among them, the status of 4 substances is updated for “exclusion” or “substitution, the classification of 9 substances are changed according to the Regulation (EC) n°1272/2008, 2 substances are withdrawn from the list because they were not approved and never marketed in France, and 8 substances are added to the list.
The new list applies by 1st January 2022.
