On May 10, 2023, the European Commission published an update of the technical guidelines SANTE/2019/12752 (Appendix D), on data requirements for setting maximum residue levels, comparability of residue trials and extrapolation of residue data on products from plant and animal origin. The first published version was dated 2020.

In this new Rev01 version, Annex II has been revised, in particular with regard to the number of trials required in France for carrots and fresh beans and peas with pods. Only trials from Northern Europe are now required to support uses on these crops. In the previous version, trials from both Northern and Southern zones were required.
