EUROPE – COM: Update of the Guidance Document for the Assessment of the Equivalence of Microorganisms

On April 11, 2026, an order of the French Ministry of Agriculture establishing the list of uses of plant protection products deemed priorities for national agricultural production was published. This priority list must be considered by Anses when scheduling the examination of the applications.
This order is taken pursuant to Article R. 253-5-1 of the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code, introduced by Decree No. 2025-629 of July 8, 2025. The list is based on a scientific opinion issued by INRAE on February 18, 2026, identifying situations where there are no, insufficient or likely to disappear methods to control harmful organisms.
The hundred or so uses listed in the annex, cover production sectors such as fruit crops, vegetable crops, field crops, specialised sectors including tropical crops, seed crops, horticultural production, medicinal and aromatic plants, and vineyards.
The provisions of this decree entered into force on April 12, 2026.
