FRANCE: Public consultation on the extension of the order on the list of authorised uses for sport equipments

The Ministry of Ecological Transition has opened, from May 26 to June 16, 2026, a public consultation on a draft order establishing the list of uses of plant protection products for which no alternative technical solution can provide the quality required for official competitions in sports facilities. 

This project aims to extend the initial order of January 10, 2025, which expires on July 1, 2026, for an additional 24 months.

The deadline for finalising the roadmap to stop the use of plant protection products ((excluding biocontrol products, low-risk products or products authorised for organic farming) has been postponed from July 31, 2025, to July 31, 2026. Furthermore, the draft now directly targets sports ground owners and managers for both the development and implementation of this roadmap.

The Ministry in charge of sports must now review and revise annually the list of sports facilities benefiting from this exemption.
